ROCHESTER, NY, May 20, 2024 -- Conifer Realty, a nationally recognized industry leader in the investment, development, and management of high-quality affordable housing, announced that Jenny McLane has joined the company as Director, Risk Management.
In this role, she oversees and manages companywide risk operations. This includes ensuring the portfolio has adequate insurance for construction projects and the operation of residential apartments.
Under Jenny’s leadership, the risk management department will focus on minimizing the frequency and severity of associate and resident injuries, illnesses, and property insurance claims. She works closely with insurance consultants/brokers, in collaboration with Conifer’s Legal and People + Culture departments, Property Management, Development, and Construction Divisions.
Before joining Conifer, Jenny worked for Gold Key/PHR a developer in Virginia Beach. During her time there she gained experience and a solid foundation in procuring insurance for hotels, restaurants, apartments, and mixed-used facilities. She has additional experience working at the largest apartment complex on the East Coast with 1,728 apartments.
Jenny earned a Bachelor of Science in Business in Marketing Management and a Bachelor of Science in Resource Management from Virginia Tech. She achieved the designation of Certified Risk Manager in 2012 and the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor in 2017. Active in her community, Jenny volunteers at her local church and helps organize and distribute food to the local food pantry.
