Conifer Realty Welcomes Teresa “Teri” Bracht-Williams as Vice President of Compliance

ROCHESTER, NY, July 29, 2024 -- Conifer Realty, a nationally recognized industry leader in the investment, development, and management of high-quality affordable housing, announced that Teresa "Teri" Bracht-Williams has rejoined the company, as Vice President of Compliance. With more than 25 years of extensive experience in the housing industry, Teri brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role, having previously held senior positions in compliance, risk management, and financial control.

 

Teri returns to Conifer after a successful tenure at Related Management, where she served as Senior Director/VP of Compliance. In this role, she oversaw affordable housing compliance, asset management, and administration of property management software systems for a portfolio of more than 40,000 units across 24 states. Her leadership in creating and leading specialized compliance teams, spearheading major projects, and implementing unifying procedures and tracking mechanisms has significantly contributed to improved processes and sustainable growth.

Teri's extensive background includes roles as Divisional Controller at Morgan Management, Director of Administration and Compliance at Conifer Realty, and Operational Risk and Asset Management at Landsman Real Estate Services. In her new role, Teri will be responsible for overseeing all compliance-related activities for Conifer, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and enhancing the efficiency of the company’s processes. Her critical thinking and problem-solving skills, combined with her experience in handling multiple projects in dynamic, deadline-driven environments, will be instrumental in driving the company's compliance initiatives forward.

 

Teri earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Industrial Psychology from State University of New York at Fredonia and has completed various leadership training programs, and numerous industry certifications in the areas of tax credit and compliance. She also serves on the board of directors for the New York State Affordable Housing Management Association.
