Conifer Realty Announces Limited-Time Move-In Special and Secures Façade Grant for Overlook East in Frederick
FREDERICK, MD. April 9, 2026 — Conifer Realty LLC today announced a limited-time move-in special at Overlook East, its newly developed apartment community in Frederick, alongside the award of a $15,000 façade improvement grant supporting the restoration of the historic Schley House.
Located at 423 East Patrick Street, Overlook East brings together newly constructed apartment homes and the preservation of the Schley House—an early 19th-century landmark also known as the Wayside Inn—creating a community that connects Frederick’s past with its future.

The recently awarded $15,000 façade improvement grant through East Frederick Rising and the City of Frederick further supports that effort, funding exterior restoration work including window repair and reglazing, woodwork restoration, new historically appropriate storm windows, and full exterior repainting in accordance with Historic Preservation Commission approvals.
“Preserving the Schley House wasn’t just about saving a building—it was about respecting the history of this neighborhood and making sure it continues to have a place in Frederick’s story,” said Ojala. “At the same time, we’re creating new housing opportunities that are badly needed.”
Overlook East offers income-qualified apartment homes designed to provide high-quality, attainable housing for individuals and families. Monthly rents currently range from $1,650 to $2,275, with income guidelines based on area median income (AMI).
